DALE MIDKIFF BIO
Dale Alan Midkiff was born July 1, 1959 in Salisbury, MD. He attended school in Baltimore.
1 of 7 sons and 1 daughter of Joyce and Thomas Midkiff.
His summers he spent in Chance, MD with his grandparents. Where his grandpa had an oyster boat.
He began acting in junior high school, he ventured into acting as a means to communicate and to get rid of his shyness.
He attended school in Baltimore with his younger sister, Tammy, where he wrote and performed a piece which chronicled the plight of the American Indian.   At this point, he knew his destiny was sealed
While attending Salibury State College, where he earned a B.A. in Communication Arts, he also ran the school's radio station working as a disc jockey as well as promotion and program director.   After graduation, Midkiff moved to New York and survived on the usual "struggling actor" jobs while he began working regularly off-off Broadway in productions such as Mark Medoff's "The Wager." He also acted in regional theatre productions, including "A View From The Bridge, " "Orpheus Descending, " "Barefoot in the Park," "Lovers and Other Strangers, " "Room Service, " and "Romeo and Juliet."
In 1985, Midkiff's first major break came when he was cast in the telefilm "Dallas: the Early Years" as the young Jock Ewing.   Numerous roles followed, including his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the four hour mini-series "Elvis & Me," produced by Priscilla Presley.
His other television work includes the critically acclaimed movies-for-television "The Tracey Thurman Story," "Sins of the Mother," "The Marla Hanson Story" "Dream Street." "Torn Apart," "Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson Story," "Another Woman's Husband" and the Hallmark Channel Originals “Love Comes Softly”– for which he received the Grace Award for TV at the 12 th Annual Movieguide Awards – and the movie’s sequel “Love’s Enduring Promise.” Midkiff starred as 22nd-century cop Darien Lambert in the weekly sci-fi crime series "Time Trax." and ofcourse "the Magnificent Seven"
Feature films, include Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" and "Love Potion #9.
He is now married to Joan with whom he has 3 kids. Daughters Eliza and Ava Marie, son Cole
